Salt Lake Wedding Venues That Don’t Require Additional Decorating By the Bride

Simple decorating your Salt Lake City Wedding Venues

One of the most chic wedding venues Salt Lake City accommodates is Ivy House Weddings at Western Gardens Downtown.  Brides really enjoy the fact that they do not feel like they have to decorate a lot for their celebrations, but if they want to add more, they are welcome to do so.  With the Ivy House tall silver candlesticks (one of several options) on each guest table, this bride added a touch of tule with votive candles and smooth shinny river stones.  The bridal-toss bouquet served as the flowers on the sign-in table and that was just about it for decorating this sophisticated Salt Lake wedding venue.

Tasting the elegant simple wedding cake.

For this event, our bride chose our preferred caterer Utah Celebrations who thrilled the guests with their flaming crepe bar.  Her cake designer was Cake Defleur who created this very simple and elegant cake.  Her photographer was Ashlee Broke Photography and the florist was Mel Kester.

Comments written by the bride and groom:  The Ivy House was beautiful and everything I could imagine as a bride.  Our guests all loved it too.  I will always remember my day because of the experiences I had with Ivy House.  Thank you!      ~ Anna & Pete  May 5, 2012

Among Utah Wedding Venues, Ivy House Weddings Is A Beautiful Affordable Value

Elegant affordable ambiance without having to decorate a lot!Among Utah Wedding Venues, Ivy House Weddings is a beautiful affordable value for any Utah Bride.  This elegant Western Gardens downtown venue was a perfect backdrop for this exquisite bride and her entourage.  Angela awed the guests as she walked down the isle.  Her adorable flower girl had scattered rose petals along the wood floor leading to the officiator.

This was a daytime ceremony with about 80 guests.  The groom’s sister served as the pianist and Lauren with LaLas Lens Photography took their professional photos.  I enjoyed watching the bride interact with her little cousins who helped in the procession.  Wedding venues in Utah are lucky to include such a beautiful Salt Lake City downtown venue that offers a lot for an affordable price.

Utah Wedding Venues Like Ivy House Weddings Give Brides Many Choices

This couple enjoyed their celebration at this wedding reception in Utah.

What an adorable couple!  Kira and Wade chose Ivy House Weddings, one of two Utah wedding venues managed by Western Gardens Center.   This wedding venue in Utah was perfect for many reasons, but one was that Kira had many friends and family wanting to help with catering, cake designing, and floral arrangements.  Ivy House allows such choices.

Aunt's cake and cupcakes in lacy wrapping!

Kira’s Aunt created her exquisite dainty cake topped with pink roses.  Her floral arrangements were simple day lilies that gave off a faint fragrance that filled the main hall.  A family friend from Siegfried Deli was the caterer.  Everyone enjoyed cakes and finger foods.  Dave from Jaffa photography was her photographer who kept busy all evening.

Enjoy my own photos of her last dance with father, the cake cutting, and her first dance with her new husband.  This Utah wedding venue holds many beautiful memories from this wedding celebration in June!

Reception Centers in Utah are Fortunate to Include Ivy House Weddings

Wedding reception centers Utah's Western Gardens offers to wonderful families like these.Surely you have been to many reception centers in Utah, and if you were at Ivy House on May 5th, you were one of about 350 guests that enjoyed a beautiful celebration honoring a beautiful couple.  I loved taking photos at this festivity as I witnessed two wonderful families brought together for a joyous occasion.  There was so much love and harmony at this event.

Children, and a few dads, enjoying a movie in the children/groom's room.
Many young children were planned for, all enjoyed eating dinner and watching cartoons in the groom/children’s room before the guests arrived. Even a few dad’s were entertained in there as well.

The bride chose to use our preferred caterer Utah Celebrations.  They served refreshing sandwiches and an array of fruits.  Also served, was a tossed green salad with candied walnuts.  Individual salads were served in fun goblets.

Simple elegant tastes for the eyes and pallette!  Simple elegant ribbons with yellow rose petals

Weeks before the wedding, the bride’s family worked tirelessly to make homemade dipped chocolates and butter-mints.  These were placed in crystal bowls and plates for guests to enjoy.  The father of the bride offered a sampling to me, and both delicacies melted in my mouth.

Decorations were simple and stunning.  Blue ribbons adorned Ivy House tall silver candlesticks and yellow rose petals lay about with the chocolates and mints.  Many photos of the bride and couple were spotted throughout Ivy House Weddings, one of a few stunning and economical wedding reception places in Utah.

Cake masterpiece by Bride's friend WhitneyThe cake was an elegant 3 tiered square cake adorned with vibrant yellow lilies and blue ribbons.  A friend of the bride created the masterpiece.  Again, the theme of yellow rose petals lay at the base.

Another dear family friend was in charge of the floral pieces for the evening, composing of the bridal bouquet, corsages, boutonnieres, cake flowers, and, of course, the scattered yellow petals.

Dave Murphy Band and singers  Happy bride and groom at Ivy House Weddings at Western Gardens Downtown

Not only did guests enjoy visual and tasty indulgences, but also live entertainment.  The father of the bride is himself a musician in a local jazz band.  One of his friends also has a band which came for all to enjoy.  The Dave Murphy band included two singers and the repertoire included everything from old popular dance songs to current popular tunes.  I was most impressed with the love the couple portrayed in their first dance.  The groom had so many tender sweet kisses for his new bride that all who viewed had no doubt that he was truly in love with his Queen.

After the bride and groom’s first dance and the parent dance, everyone joined in for a delightful happy dance session.  Everything from the tango to YMCA was enjoyed by all.   Utah wedding reception centers are fortunate to have Ivy House Weddings as one of their nicest venues for the community.  And I’m fortunate to be able to witness such beautiful happy affairs on a regular basis.
